About Fitness Frontline

Fitness Frontline supports preventive health, workplace wellbeing, and practical education through evidence-informed programs, resources, and digital learning tools for organisations, schools, and communities.

Who We Are

The concepts outlined in the Fitness Frontline website have been developed by Canberra-based corporate health company Miller Health. John Miller is a graduate physical educator, fitness practitioner, corporate health seminar presenter, author, and publisher.

The Fitness Frontline initiative is designed to provide corporate organisations, workers compensation and private health insurers, surgeries, fitness centres, and schools with the tools to prescribe, manage, and monitor fitness for employees, members, clients, and students.

The project focuses on practical prevention by combining educational resources, self-paced learning modules, and assessment tools that help individuals and organisations improve health, movement, and long-term wellbeing.

Along with the tools and learning modules, the next phase of the project is to encourage organisations to provide incentives to their clients who reach physical activity targets each week. With the growth of wearable technology, the recording of steps and aerobic fitness intensity is becoming more achievable and measurable.

In the long run, incentive-based health systems may provide benefits not only to individuals, but also to government and organisations by helping reduce preventable health costs, absenteeism, and productivity loss.

Acknowledgement

The digital programs that form the basis of the Fitness Frontline project have been developed in capstone projects completed by Canberra University IT students.

Miller Health is most grateful to the IT Department of the University for its involvement in the Fitness Frontline and other related projects.
